The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test for ME/ M.Tech aspirants was conducted at five centres in Erode district on Sunday.
A total of 833 candidates were given hall tickets to appear for the TANCET at the Institute of Road and Transport Technology, Kongu Engineering College, Vellalar College for Women, Kongu Polytechnic College, and Vellalar College of Engineering and Technology. Of them, nearly 80 candidates did not turn up.
On Saturday, the entrance examination was conducted for aspirants of MBA and MCA programmes.
A total of 837 candidates appeared for MBA and 540 for MCA.
There were about 80 absentees for MBA and 40 for MCA.
The TANCET was conducted in Erode district by IRTT. The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation operated special vehicles to the IRTT and other coordinating examination centres.
