Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation-Villupuram launches two AC buses

The services will have limited stops.

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC)-Villupuram on Friday launched two AC buses in Vellore district. The buses will ply between Tirupattur and Koyambedu, Chennai and between Tiruvannamalai and Koyambedu daily.

Commercial Taxes and Registration Minister K.C. Veeramani and District Revenue Officer J. Partheeban flagged off the buses at the Tirupattur bus stand.

The new bus will have limited stops, at Vamiyambadi, Ambur, Gudiyatham service road, Vellore, Arcot, Kaveripakkam, Ocheri, Meenakshi Hospital, Sunguvarchatram bypass and Poonamallee. It has conventional three-seater row and two-seater row seating and will operate from Tirupattur at at 5.50 a.m. and 5.50 p.m. It will leave Koyambedu at 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The fare is ₹255 per passenger, whereas the normal fare on this route is ₹240.

Meanwhile, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister Sevoor S. Ramachandran and DC, K.S. Kandasamy flagged off the buses at the Tiruvannamalai bus stand.

The other new bus will operate from Tiruvannamalai at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. It will leave Koyambedu at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. The fare is ₹215 per passenger, and it will cover Keezh Pennathur, Semmedu, Sathyamangalam-Alampundi, Ginjee, Naattarmangalam, Tindivanam bypass, Melmaruvathur, Maduranthagam bypass, Chengalpet bypass, and Perungalathur.
