Survey for widening Attur Road

The preliminary survey on the project of developing the Attur – Musiri road into a two-lane road was undertaken by the State Highways authorities on Saturday. The project was recommended by the Road Development Corporation.

In the first phase, the stretch to a length of 10.5 km between Attur and Malliakarai will be widened. In the second phase, the stretch between Malliakarai to Thammampatti will be made two lane road.

The survey will study the quality of sand, the buildings to be demolished for the implementation of the project and the value of the same.

The State Highways Department has also undertaken the preliminary survey for developing the Thammampatti – Gengavalli – Attur Road.
