All stakeholders and general public have been asked to register their suggestions and opinions for the Smart City project through the portalwww.salemsmartcity.inin ‘Take Survey’ category.
Public can log on to the portal and enter their details like contact information, age, locality, occupation in the first page. After that they will be asked to rank the major problems and issues in the city that needs immediate attention. Problems listed includes water supply system, solid waste management and sanitation, roads and traffic management, public transport, power supply, tourism infrastructure and others. In the third page, area specific problems will be listed and the public should select the problems prevailing in their area. Later, they would be asked to give suggestions on pan-city initiative and finally any expectations for the city in the future. The portal also explains briefly about the smart city mission and the concepts.
