Students want restrictions on dress code to go

October 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 08:03 am IST - KANCHEEPURAM:

A group of students of a self-financing engineering college near Tambaram want their college management to do away with all the restrictions imposed upon them. This includes rules regarding the use of mobile phones, laptops and imposition of dress code.

The students claimed they were not permitted to carry mobile phones with them to the classrooms and use the gadgets in the hostel.

Students were also not happy with the reported dress code.

Students also want the college management to permit them to hold elections to select their representatives to discuss their demands with the college management.
