Stranded fishermen rescued

Four fishermen hailing from Tamil Nadu, who were stranded in the Bay of Bengal, were rescued by the Marine Police and the Fisheries Department authorities here on Friday.

According to official sources, the fishermen, identified as Raj Kudumbai, Raj Mayandi, Suresh Rajalingam and Mani Das, ventured out to the sea on May 19. After reaching the Manginapudi deep sea on May 22, their boat capsized, leaving them stranded in deep waters.

The fishermen from Gilakaladindi alerted the AP Fisheries and Marine Police authorities.

Informed by local fishermen, AP Fisheries and Marine Police authorities carried out the rescue operation
