The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s Tirunelveli east district meet was organised here on Monday to review the preparations under way to make party’s treasurer M.K. Stalin’s visit to the district on September 22 a grand success.

Mr. Stalin started his Statewide tour to meet voters under the party’s recently announced ‘Namakku Naamey’ programmes. The party’s east district presidium chairman and former MLA of Radhapuram M. Appavu chaired the meeting.

Former minister and party’s deputy general secretary I. Periyasamy participated in the meeting that vowed to work hard to revive DMK’s rule in Tamil Nadu in the 2016 Assembly polls.

Former Speaker R. Avudaiyappan, former ministers T.P.M. Mohideen Khan and Poongothai Aladi Aruna and others spoke.
