Dengue prevention measures

Twenty special teams have been formed to eradicate mosquito breeding sources as part of dengue prevention measures, Corporation Commissioner M.Vijayalakshmi said in a press release. Over the past one month, over 32,000 houses in the city have been checked and mosquito breeding sources were destroyed in as many as 11,638 houses. Schools students have been sensitised to destroy mosquito breeding sources at their houses. As a follow-up, five teams have been constituted in each of the four zones of the city to continue the dengue prevention measures. The teams would be headed by assistant commissioners and over 200 workers would be involved in destroying mosquito breeding sources, she added.
