Southern Railway gets a new AGM

S. Vijayakumaran, has taken over as the new Additional General Manager of Southern Railway.

Mr. Vijayakumaran, who was previously the Chief Administrative Officer/Construction in charge of projects on Southern Railway, has earlier worked as Chief Administrative Officer/Construction/South Western Railway Bangalore, Divisional Railway Manager, Thiruvananthapuram and Chief Planning and Development Engineer.

An M.Tech (Structures) from IIT Madras, he has undergone a stint in the Research Designs and Standards Organisation, Lucknow, and has expertise in special designs of bridges under UNDP (United Nations Development Programme).

His role as Additional General Manager includes the portfolio of Director, Public Grievances, Public Relations and Appellate Authority for Public Information under Right to Information Act.
