In a shocking incident, a youth was decapitated and his head was hurled in front of the Reddichavadi police station in neighbouring Cuddalore district.
The victim was identified as Suvethan (19, son of Venkatesan, a weaver of Bahour in Puducherry.
According to police, the decapitated body was found near the Bahour Lake by locals on Wednesday night.
The accused had beheaded Suvethan and abandoned his head in front of the Reddichavadi police station in Cuddalore district.
On information, the Kirumambakkam police retrieved the torso and sent it to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Puducherry.
