Seven persons, including three children, were injured in a road accident involving a car and a motorcycle at Kollukarankuttai near Panruti on Saturday.
Police sources said that Ramachandran (45), a farmer residing at Periyakattupalayam, along with his wife Revathi (38), daughter Rajeswari (8) and son Kunal (5) set out on a motorcycle when a speeding car knocked them down. In the impact three persons, namely Ramesh (38), Panneerselvam (32) and Mouli (five) suffered injuries. All the injured have been admitted to the Panruti government hospital.
The Muthandikuppam police have registered a case.
