The Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Satish Soni and the Naval Officer-in-Charge (Tamil Nadu and Puducherry) Commodore A. K. Mahadevan inspected the Naval Detachment at Mallipattinam near here on Friday to assess the operational and functional readiness of the Detachment.

The Officer-in-Charge of the Mallipattinam Detachment Commander Maneesh Aggarwal received the Flag Officer and apprised him of the activities at the wing. Vice Admiral Soni inspected the operations at the Detachment and interacted with the men. The Vice Admiral emphasised the importance of coastal security in the area and lauded the efforts of the detachment in keeping vigil over the coastline.
