Sainik School, Amaravathinagar, has reopened on Wednesday with only just around 10 students out of the total 650 students yet to report. The school was remaining closed since October 9 after 221 students suddenly developed fever, vomiting, upset stomach and headache on October 8.
Wing Commander Dominic Rayan, the vice-principal of the school, told The Hindu that the internal inquiry launched to find the exact reason that caused the cadets to fall sick, was yet to be concluded.
“We are actually looking into all aspects to trace the precise reason and hence, taking the time”, he said.
Meanwhile, the inquiry conducted by Colonel Sudhanshu Arya from Sainik School Society in New Delhi was completed.
“The details in the report will be known soon”, said Sainik School sources.

The school authorities are also awaiting the laboratory report of the quality test conducted on the samples of soybean meal used for cooking in school mess and water used by children for drinking at government centres.
Soybean meal samples were sent as the pack in which the product came did not have the manufacturing date.
