Residents complain against property developer

October 20, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - Tirupur:

A group of residents from Kaniyampoondi panchayat petitioned senior revenue officials at the Collectorate on Monday complaining against a property developer who had not delivered what he had promised.

The plan was to construct houses over 100 cents.

“The builder planned to construct 48 houses. Seventeen were completed in three years.

However, even after occupation, most of these houses remained unpainted,” said one of the occupants Harish Raman.

Besides, the common facilities like roads, street lightning and compound wall along the circumference of the colony which were promised with the package have also not been constructed by the developer, the residents complained.

The residents of the area said that they had approached the panchayat administration with the grievance before but the issue remained unresolved.
