Rajnikanth in SRMC for tests

May 14, 2011 08:44 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 02:49 am IST - CHENNAI:

Actor Rajnikanth was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre on Friday night to undergo tests at the hospital.

Medical tests were scheduled for the entire day on Saturday. The actor had been admitted only for tests and not for treatment purposes, hospital sources said.

On the first day of the shoot for his upcoming movie Rana, Rajnikanth was admitted to St. Isabel Hospital, Mylapore, and was treated for dehydration and exhaustion. He was discharged the same day and doctors said he was stable.

On May 4, he was re-admitted to the hospital when he complained of breathlessness and fever.

It was only on Friday that the actor’s wife Latha Rajnikanth trashed reports of his failing health as ‘rumours’. She also said that her husband had been recommended rest by his doctors.
