Quake rumours create tension

Tension prevailed in some villages of Harur, after rumours of a possible earthquake was floated on Friday night. Rumours of tremors began floating around keeping the public outdoors. Rumours began after unfounded texts were sent over mobile phones causing panic among locals in villages surrounding Harur. People stepped outside of their homes in villages of Krishnapuram, Ammanhalli, Andipatty, Sindhalpatti, and Jamanapatty and waited out through the night fearing a quake. However, the fear ebbed out as it dawned.
