PMK stages demonstration

Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has staged a demonstration demanding to expedite up gradation of Tindivanam-Krishnagiri phase of the National Highway 66 (NH 66) that is long overdue.

Political class has taken the issue of long pending expansion work of the NH66.

First it was DMK which conducted demonstration on this issue. Next it was the congress which wrote to the National Highway Authority of India.

Now it is the turn of the PMK. Taking up the issue in a serious manner, the party organised demonstrations on Wednesday for the cause in 18 places spread in three districts along the road they want to get refurbished.

The protest was held in five places in Tiruvannamalai district viz. Kilpennathur, Tiruvannamalai, Kolapadi, Erayur and Chengam.

In Tiruvannamalai, party’s election strategy committee state president Ethiroli Maniyan led the protest.

Vanniyar Sangam deputy general secretary R. Kaalidoss was among those participated.
