Plea for stipend

Members of Samadrishti Kshamata Vikas Evam Anusandhan Mandal (SHAKSHAM), an association for the differently abled with the backing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), staged a protest in front of the Collectorate here on Friday demanding implementation of their 20-point demands.

Its district vice-president V. Senthil Kumar said monthly stipend must be given to all differently abled persons, except those who with government departments. The other demands include regularisation of service; resumption of issuing of monthly stipend for those it was stopped.

State vice-president G. Rajagopal, state treasurer K. Karunjivan and district advisor Ramachandran participated.
