Periyar University gets ‘A’ Grade

Periyar University has been accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

The NAAC team has accorded final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.15 points (performance descriptor “Very Good”), while according “A” Grade to Periyar University.

C. Swaminathan, Vice-Chancellor, Periyar University, in a statement here said that by getting a CGPA of 3.15, the University had got a special status among the State universities in Tamil Nadu. He also expressed that the grade would propel the development activities in the University to further heights and students would be benefited.

An expert team headed by Bhoomitra Dev, former Vice-Chancellor, Dean Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur, University, and Rohil Khand, Agra, visited Periyar University from March 18 – 20 in connection with the re-accreditation process.
