People have voted for DMK-Congress alliance in large numbers expecting continuity both in the implementation of several welfare measures in the State and in its development trajectory, Union Shipping Minister G.K. Vasan said on Sunday.
Talking to reporters after calling on Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at the latter's Gopalapuram residence he said that when compared with other states, Tamil Nadu had achieved sound growth.
It would continue to show better results in future too. The huge turnout of voters in the recent Assembly election reflected that and the victory prospects for the DMK-Congress alliance was bright.
When asked about a post-poll results announced by a television channel, he said there was no doubt that the public had voted based on the current status as well as the State's future prospects. “We will win more seats,” he said.
