The district registered a pass percentage of 93.12 in the SSLC examinations, the results
for which were declared on Friday. Last year it was 94.05%.
A total of 25,375 students appeared for the examinations, of which 23,630 passed.
Girls recorded a pass percentage of 97.20, which was higher than the district average. Boys
registered a pass percentage of 94.70.
The pass percentage of girls is significant as 12,460 had appeared for the examinations while the number of boys was 12,915.
A total of 376 schools appeared for the SSLC examinations. Of these, 153 schools registered all pass.
Of the 153 schools, 70 government high schools and higher secondary schools registered all pass.
Subject-wise pass percentage is as follows: science recorded the highest of 99.35, followed by social science 98.49, English 97.7, language 95.96, and mathematics 95.74.
The pass percentage in mathematics was the lowest.
