Twelve years ago, Udhavum Ullangal, a non-governmental organisation in Vellore offered to provide financial assistance to a mother who gave birth to quintuplets in a hospital in Kollam district in Kerala, on seeing a report in a newspaper that the parents of the quintuplets were poor and needed help to maintain the children. ‘Solai' Subramaniam of Vellore, trustee of Udhavum Ullangal sponsored them. Since the Kollam parents Nazrudeen and Razeena desired for a long time to meet the Vellore NGO and the donor who helped them, they along with the grown-up quintuplets Mohammed Hameer, Mohammed Aadhil, Sumaiya, Subeena and Sabeena, and relatives came to Vellore on Thursday and met their donors.

Udhavum Ullangal assured to send Rs.5000 every year for education expenses.
