Booked for not wearing helmet

The traffic police have registered case against 1,604 two-wheeler riders for not wearing helmet during the week-long drive carried out in the district.

Based on the direction of Superintendent of Police S.R. Senthilkumar, traffic police personnel created awareness among the public to wear helmets while riding and also follow road rules.

Hence, the drive began on June 9 and continued till June 16.

Senior police officials said that the drive would continue across the district and cases would be registered against the violators.
