M. Abbaas (42) of Muthukrishnapuram was killed and three others injured in an accident on the bridge near Tuticorin Third Mile on Palayamkottai Road on Tuesday. According to sources, the cargo vehicle in which Abbaas was travelling, driven by M. Aziz Mohammed (20) of Rajagopal Nagar, collided with an autorickshaw. Abbaas suffered grievous injuries and died on the way to the hospital. S. Antony Francis (24), M. Joseph (42) and T. Rajan (48) of Tuticorin, who travelled in the autorickshaw, were injured. Tuticorin South police have filed a case against the driver, Mohammed.
