No basic facilities at govt. hospital: Stalin

DMK Treasurer M.K. Stalin on Thursday alleged that attempts have been made to cripple the functioning of the Government Medical College at Mundiyampakkam near Villupuram as it was brought during DMK regime.

As part of the Namakku Naame Vidiyal Meetpu pre-election campaign tour at Villupuram, Mr. Stalin visited the government medical college and its hospital on Thursday and listened to grievances of patients.

Some complained of inadequate medical attention at the hospital. Mr.Stalin said the medical college and hospital was established at the cost of Rs.200 crore during DMK regime after realising the medical need of people in Villupuram.

There is no proper maintenance and no basic facilities have been established, Mr. Stalin alleged.
