No alliance with DMK or AIADMK, says Ganesan

December 30, 2013 10:10 am | Updated 10:10 am IST - COIMBATORE:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not enter into alliance with either the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) or the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) for the Lok Sabha elections of 2014, said L. Ganesan, former State BJP president.

The BJP was holding talks with other political parties in Tamil Nadu and would form an alliance that would contest in 40 Lok Sabha seats of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, he told a press conference here on Sunday.

The primary objective of the BJP was to remove the Congress from power at the Centre, he said.
