NIPM honours NLC Chairman with fellowship

The National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) conferred its fellowship on Sarat Kumar Acharya, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) for his contribution to the field of HR for the past three decades.

The award was presented at the 34th National conference of NIPM held at Coimbatore on Thursday.

Stress on innovation

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Acharya said that innovation was vital for competitive advantage and winning strategy for companies pursuing the path of Sustainable Business Excellence.

He also stressed that the winning companies focus on their innovative strategies around people, providing an enabling culture of unlocking creativity to bring about organisational excellence.

NIPM, headquartered in Kolkata is a Pan-India think-tank of Human Resource Managers drawn from diverse fields and industries.
