New garbage collection vehicles for town panchayats

The Nilgiris District Collector, Innocent Divya, handed over garbage collection vehicles to six town panchayats here on Wednesday.

The six vehicles will be used to collect garbage from the town panchayats of Naduvattam, Bikkatty, Sholur, O-Valley and Ketti.

Each of the town panchayats will get one garbage collection vehicle while the Ketti panchayat alone will get two.

The Collector also gave away four sewing machines to four beneficiaries on behalf of the social welfare department.
