Members of Trade Union Coordination Centre (TUCC), affiliated to All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), staged a protest here on Wednesday against the Centre’s refusal to reveal facts on the life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Led by State president Ananda Murugan, around 50 members, mostly drivers of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and autorickshaws, came in a procession to the railway station from the old bus stand. The protestor were detained before they could enter the railway station. T

hey were detained in a marriage hall and released in the evening.

Mr. Murugan said people had the right to know whatever happened to Netaji who took on the mighty British rule and it was highly condemnable that the Central government had openly declared that it could not reveal the secrets.
