Navaratri and Durga Puja celebrated in Tirupur.People from Rajasthan, who have made Tirupur their home , organised a Dandiya dance festival.

They have been having a week long celebration with nearly 1,500 people attending in traditional attires.

Meanwhile, the Bengali Cultural Association has organised the Durga Puja in a traditional manner.

There were cultural programmes including dances and devotional songs by the Bengalis here. Special delicacies were prepared and offered to Goddess Durga.

The five-day Navarathri celebrations will come to a close on October 22, said Subrato Kumar Dev, secretary of the Bengali Cultural Association.
