Natarajan gets bail in land grab case

March 07, 2012 03:42 am | Updated 03:42 am IST - MADURAI:

The Madras High Court Bench here on Tuesday granted bail to M. Natarajan, husband of V.K. Sasikala, and two others arrested by the Thanjavur police in a land grab case.

Justice T. Sudanthiram also granted anticipatory bail to three more accused in the same case.

All six have been directed to appear before the investigating officer once a day for two weeks.

A bail application filed by the seventh accused in the case is pending before a lower court in Thanjavur.

The relief was granted after Mr. Natarajan filed an affidavit stating that he would not claim any right over the property in question and remove, as early as possible, construction materials stored there.
