Additional Director General of Police/Director, Civil Defence and Additional Commandant General, Home Guards, K. Muthukaruppan has been promoted as Director General of Police.
A note issued by Home (SC) Department, on Wednesday, said he was promoted and posted as DGP/Director, Civil Defence and Commandant General, Home Guards, Chennai, in a newly created post. Besides Mr. Muthukaruppan, two more Indian Police Service officers were given new postings. Another note, issued on Tuesday, said N.K. Senthamarai Kannan, Deputy Inspector General of Police/Special officer, Tirupur City, is posted as Commissioner of Police, Tirupur City. R.Thirunavukkarasu, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tirupur City, has been posted as DCP, Law and Order, Crime and Traffic, Tirupur City.
