Monitoring officer reviews work

P. Annamalai, Monitoring Officer for the district, reviewed the progress of various on-going schemes being implemented in the district, here on Friday. He advised the Health officials to ensure adequate stock of drugs and medicines to meet any emergency or epidemic during the forthcoming monsoon season.

On the procurement of milk, Mr. Annamalai verified the daily procurement and sales and ascertained the progress of water supply schemes.

Later, accompanied by S. Palanisamy, District Collector, he inspected the progress of the work on the construction of fishing harbour at Akkarapettai in Nagapattinam. Benjamin Babu, District Revenue Officer, was among those who were present.
