MNM seeks action against Bhalaji

The Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) on Thursday filed a complaint with Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo seeking action against Dairy Development Minister Rajenthra Bhalaji for his comments calling for MNM founder Kamal Haasan’s tongue to be cut.

The complaint was filed by MNM cadre U. Priyadharshini. She said the Minister was inciting violence through his comments. “The Minister seems to have forgotten that he has taken oath under the Constitution and is indulging in conducting a kangaroo court,” she charged.

The comments made by Mr. Bhalaji is punishable under sections 503 and 504 of the IPC and the police should file a case against him, she said.
