A camp for early detection of heart ailment was organised by Sudharsan Educational Trust and Equitas, a micro finance firm, for children and students in the age group 0-18 years. In all, 250 persons were screened of whom 20 were selected for surgery.

Addressing parents, Vijay K. Sundaram, managing trustee of the trust, said the surgery would be performed at Apollo Hospital in Chennai under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme in a month and accommodation would be provided for parents.
