MDMK will work with DMK, Vaiko tells Karunanidhi

MDMK general secretary on Monday met Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader M. Karunanidhi and expressed his willingness to work closely with his party.

“It was an emotional moment for me. I held the hands of Kalaignar who nurtured me in politics,” Mr. Vaiko told reporters after the meeting. Mr. Vaiko first met DMK working president M.K. Stalin at his residence and they went to Gopalapuram together.

“When Mr Stalin asked Mr Karunanidhi whether he was able to recognise him, he smiled and gestured that it was Vaiko,” a DMK press release said.
