Mayor honours toppers among corporation school students

Mayor E. Bhuvaneshwari honoured SSLC examination toppers among students of corporation higher secondary schools here on Thursday.

As seven girl students of Kallanai Corporation Girls’ Higher Secondary School scored high marks in the SSLC examination, Ms. Bhuvaneshwari honoured them with shawls. She invited students Amudhavalli, Siddhiq Noorhan (both have scored 496 marks), Uma Maheshwari (495), Mari Devi, Subhashini, Udhaya Pavithra and Velammal (each 494) to her office and honoured them.

“I’m also a student of a Corporation higher secondary school and has become the first citizen of the city. Hence, you should also work hard to reach greater heights,” Ms. Bhuvaneshwari told the students.

Govt. school students

Girl students of seven higher secondary schools in the district have also scored high marks in the SSLC public exam.

Shanmugasundari of Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Kadayanallur, and Isai Kavya of Government Higher Secondary School, Vinaitheerthanadarpatti, have scored 496 out of 500.

M. Saroja of Government Higher Secondary School, North Ariyanayagipuram, Mari Esakkiammal of Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Cheranmahadevi, and Presma of SRM Girls’ Higher Secondary School have got 495 marks.

Nithyakalyani of Government Higher Secondary School, Samooharengapuram, and Ameera of Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Kadayanallur, have scored 494 marks.
