Man on parole arrested on charge of burglary

June 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - Bengaluru:

Police have arrested a convicted criminal, who is serving a life term for murder, for committing thefts during his parole. The suspect, Manjunath alias Field Manja, was arrested by the South Division Police.

During his stay in the jail, he came in contact with Siddaraju (23), who has been involved in multiple thefts. While Siddaraju got bail three months ago, Manja secured parole two months ago. The duo committed a series of burglaries, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Rohini Katoch Sepat. Field Manja used his contacts in Kolar to dispose the loot.

The nexus was busted when the Mico Layout police became suspicious about Siddaraju’s lavish spending. On questioning, he revealed his criminal activities. Apart from Field Manja, three others have been arrested.
