A man was murdered at Meenakshinaickenpatti village on the Palani highway on Monday. Police found the body of Siva alias M. Sivakumar (25) of Murugabhavanam with a deep cut in the throat near a crematorium in a secluded place. The body was sent to Dindigul Government Hospital for post mortem.
The police suspect it to be a revenge act for a murder that took place in 2014. Siva was the fifth accused in the Ramki murder case. Ramki alias Ramkumar alias of Ponnimandurai was murdered by a five-member gang near Mochaikottai Pillaiyar Temple on Dindigul Main Road on June, 26, 2014. He was released on bail recently. Thadikombu police have registered a case and are investigating.
