Duplicate seals

A total of 10 cheques and large number of duplicate seals of various banks were recovered from the accused.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) R. Thirunavukkarasu told reporters that the accused used to follow the courier delivery boys and steal the covers when they stop the vehicle to deliver some of the covers from among them.

Original

The accused then scratches the original names in the cheques and put his name.

Using the duplicate seals he create the impression of account payee cheques and get it encashed immediately from the counters using peak banking hours, he said.

Two
