The official interactive website of ‘Mahamaham’ was launched here on Wednesday. The event is slated for February next.
Launching the website, Thanjavur Collector N. Subbaiyan observed that the website would provide transparency and information on the development activities being undertaken by various governmental agencies related to the ‘Mahamaham.’
The site, www.onlinethanjavur.com/mahamagam, would be updated regularly and feature route maps during festival time, transport and lodging facilities in the town, details of important shrines in the vicinity besides reporting the progress on various activities by government departments, Mr. Subbaiyan said. Viewers could offer suggestions and ideas to the administration.
