May 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 07:53 am IST - CHENNAI:

DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin on Monday said the people of the country could draw their own conclusion form the fact that the prosecution in the case against AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa was given one day to submit its written argument, while the defence was given two months.

“Irrespective of the verdict, the DMK would continue to work for a strong and vibrant Tamil Nadu. The people of our State are firmly behind us to remove the corrupt and regressive AIADMK government,” he posted on his Facebook page .

He said the appeal was fast tracked in an unprecedented manner and the DMK had to step in at every juncture to try and ensure that this case did not turn out to be a farce.
