DMK president M.K. Stalin on Saturday condemned the removal of the Tamil language paper from the preliminary examinations of Group II and Group II A, conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
In a statement, Mr. Stalin said the revised syllabus had made it difficult for the youth to clear the main examination, even if they passed the preliminary examinations. “The revised pattern will pave the way for the entry of youth from other States into government services in Tamil Nadu,” he said and urged the State government to revert to the old pattern.
MDMK general secretary Vaiko also condemned the changes to the exam pattern and accused Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami of betraying the interests of Tamil youth.
“He is playing second fiddle to the BJP government at the Centre,” he said.
