Aimed at helping the students shed inhibitions about the police force and improving the image of the police, the programme was launched on July 4 by inviting students to visit the town police station here, but the programme was remodelled after studying the feedback.
In the next phase, the students would be taken to the police stations in their respective regions, he said.
In the two months, the police teams covered all the 12,470 students and proposed to cover the students of private schools in the second phase, he said.
