Kanyakumari to get three flyovers

The Union government had sanctioned Rs. 129 crore for construction of flyovers in Suchindram, Marthandam and Parvathipuram to ease traffic congestion on the Kanyakumari-Thiruvananthapuram highway, said Union Minister of State for Shipping and Highways Pon. Radhakrishnan here on Tuesday. After commissioning solar-powered lights, installed by a social service organisation, at the Children’s Park in Kuruntheru near Kottar here, Mr. Radhakrishnan said that there were a lot of problems in laying a four-lane highway between Kanyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram.
