Jayalalithaa grants solatium

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has granted solatium of Rs.1 lakh each to the families of two girls who drowned in Rajaji Swimming Pool under the control of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, Dharmapuri, on Tuesday.

According to a statement from the Chief Minister, Meena and Selvi drowned when they were training. While conveying her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families, she ordered solatium from the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund.
