Jayalalithaa grants incentives to IAS aspirants

An incentive of Rs.3,000 a month for three months will be given to 200 candidates who are being trained at the All India Civil Services Coaching Centre for attending the interview of civil services examinations.

Travelling allowance of Rs.2,000 each will also be given to the candidates taking part in the interview in New Delhi, according to an official release.

In addition, food charges have been increased from Rs.1,200 to Rs.2,000 for students staying at the coaching centre.

Every year, five per cent increase in the allowance will be allowed.

All the decisions have been made on the directions of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, the release stated. Last year, the amount of food charges was increased to Rs.1,200.
