Jayalalithaa condoles death of workers

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday condoled the death of seven workers of a textile dyeing unit at the SIPCOT Industrial Estate in Perundurai after inhaling methane gas emanating from a valve that they were repairing on Tuesday. Nine other workers involved in the repair works have been admitted to a private hospital with respiratory problems. In an official release, the Chief Minister wished them speedy recovery.

The Chief Minister also expressed her deepest condolences to the family members of Raja alias Rajkumar, a former contract worker of Neyveli Lignite Corporation, shot dead by a Central Industrial Security Force jawan in Neyveli on Monday.
