Idols missing from one more temple

Four panchaloka idols were stolen from Sri Prasanna Venkatesaperumal temple in Paiyur village near Vandavasi.

This was found out on Sunday evening by a local person, who used to light lamp in the evening and reported it to police. It was only on Sunday three panchaloka idols were found stolen from Adhikesava Perumal temple in Sounderyapuram village nearby.

The resident also found the golden ‘mangala sutra’ missing. Vandavasi North police has booked a case.

Police suspect the same group of burglars to be involved. Three police teams are formed to probe the two incidents.
