Enthused by the High Court order that wanted him "resurrected to what he is best at," writer Perumal Murugan said he would get up.
In a statement, Madhorubhagan author Perumal Murugan said the judgment had given him much happiness. "It comforts a heart that had shrunk itself and wilted. I am trying to prop up myself holding on to the light of the last lines of the judgment, "Let the author be resurrected to what he is best at. Write."
Murugan, now working as a Tamil teacher at the Presidency College, and author of dictionary of dialects of the Kongu region, said his mind wished to spend a little time in the joy of the moment. "My thanks to friends who stood by me. My thanks also to friends who stood against me."
